Job Description

Job Title: Certified Dental Assistant
Location: Harlem, MT
Start Date: May 2025
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40hr/week

Qualification:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited dental assisting program (CODA) Preferred.
  • Certification: Active Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), BLS
  • License: A current, valid, unrestricted any state dental assistant license
  • Experience: Minimum 2 year of clinical experience as a Dental Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and proper instrument handling.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform chairside assisting and anticipate the dentist’s needs during treatments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental health.
  • Manage dental records, treatment plans, and patient histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Mix dental materials, prepare impression trays, and handle lab work as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper restocking.
  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines for patient confidentiality and workplace safety.
