Job Description

Travel Dental Hygienist – Part Time  
Location: Rock Hill, SC 29730 

Pay Rate: $50 per hour + Travel stipends (if applicable) 
Schedule:Three 8-hour days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 

  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM 

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break 

  • 24 hours per week 

  • No on-call, weekends, or Federal Holidays 

Job Description: 

The Dental Hygienist provides preventive, therapeutic, and educational dental hygiene services to patients. The role supports comprehensive oral health care through clinical treatment, patient education, and collaboration with dental providers. 

 
Requirements: 

  • Certified Dental Hygienist with recent experience within the past 12 months 

  • Minimum 1 year of specialized dental hygiene experience (public or private sector) 

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification 

  • Experience performing advanced prophylactic, therapeutic, and preventive dental procedures 

  • Ability to take and interpret dental radiographs 

  • List of recent past performance as a Dental Hygienist required 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform preliminary dental examinations and review patient medical and dental histories 

  • Assess oral conditions, chart findings, and identify periodontal disease 

  • Perform oral prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, curettage, and fluoride application 

  • Apply sealants and provide post-treatment oral hygiene instructions 

  • Assist dentists with minor restorative adjustments and temporary fillings 

  • Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs (bitewing, periapical, panoramic) 

  • Identify abnormalities and refer patients to the dentist as appropriate
